Some days (or weeks) ago, the One Piece Magazine released and while I’ve talked about its relevant information on my twitter, I thought I’d present it all here on the Library for the sake of archiving it!
For those asking about information on the 7th Magazine Volume, the issue is that most of it was centered around Stampede and as such, there really isn’t that much new in terms of completely unique canon information, if anything at all.
Anyway, onto the Magazine! One of the first things shown is the canonical form of two devil fruits, showing how the fruits themselves look within the actual story!
First up, the fruit Brook ate, the Yomi Yomi no Mi!
And second, the fruit Moria ate, the Kage Kage no Mi!
Next, a colored Cover Request, in this case one of Chopper and Hiriluk having a hanami together (Japanese festivity of doing a pic-nic under sakura trees). Oda decided to add in Kureha as well:
After that is a gallery of sketches for some of the supernovas’ post-timeskip designs:
In Law’s file there’s this particular sketch that is somewhat interesting:
It’s an original sketch for this scene above, where it shows that, instead of Law subconsciously wishing to take Doflamingo down by himself and that leading him to follow with his actions, it seems it was originally meant to be a fully conscious part of his plan from the very beginning. In particular, Sanji asks “what are you planning?” and Law simply replies with “You’re sharp, aren’t you…”
As well as sketches for Blackbeard too!
But what is more interesting is some sketches regarding… Blackbeard’s mom and two little sisters??? Yes, Oda shares some concept art of an idea he had about Blackbeard’s relatives. With all that said, they aren’t canon so far, they are treated like scrapped ideas, but it is entirely possible that they could be reused in the future as actual characters, just like Oda has done in the past with others, it’s just that at the moment, they aren’t part of the story
In regards to Teach’s little sisters, they are described as being polite and kind. In his sketches, Oda drew a shocked Ace reacting to them, implying this might’ve been a scene he had in mind at some point.
We then have a cross-section in regards to Big Father, allowing us to get a better understanding at how this enormous fortress looks inside! It’s revealed to be 80m tall and to weigh 595 tons!!
And finally is a series of demographic popularity polls, which asked people of Japan what their favorite characters, arcs and quotes from the series were! Here are all the results listed below! (apologies for the blurriness of the pictures, but the original images were already this blurry)
And finally, favorite quotes:
Are you satisfied with these results? Or are you dissatisfied? Well, you can cast your own votes here to say what your favorites are!
Check back in a couple days or so to see what the results are!
