Yearly Big Update for the Library of Ohara

Today, I turned 20 years old! Yay! Last year, on my birthday, I wrote “A Big Update for the Library of Ohara“, where I talked about the road it took me to get there and the future to come. So I thought I’d make this a yearly occurrence, as a lot of things have happened and there’s much to talk here, so let’s get this started!

Three years. It’s been three years since the Library of Ohara started. Well, it’s technically been a couple extra months since I set it up, but it was around three years ago that I started doing stuff here. Three years feels like such a long time ago, I was still in school and a lot of things were different. Yes, a lot has changed, but the Library has consistently gone forward and continued to create content. No matter all the hardships and the difficulties I had, I was able to get back on track and truly make this site what I always wanted it to be.

Last year, I made the promise that I’d be creating a lot more content and looking back at it, I can definitely say that I feel I’ve accomplished that. But not just that, the Library has grown immensely over the past few months. And it’s not simply about the views and whatnot, it’s about all the new people that joined in, all the new audience I got to interact with. With that I’ve had the chance to try out new things, to meet a lot of new people and to get engaged with a fantastic community. For that, thank you.

I’ve also made a lot of progress on a personal side. Last year I mentioned about a lot of my struggles with anxiety and how I was slowly managing to overcome them. One year from then has passed and I’ve definitely gone even further beyond. I really feel that, while it’s not fully gone, I’ve managed to get a good grasp of my anxiety and properly overcome it. I have a lot of plans for the future, many which include this site, as well as others about my own life. In that regard, I’ve also been planning something I’ve been wanting to do for a long while, which is going to study abroad in Japan, something I’m hoping to do so by next year. It’s something I’ve dreamt of doing for so long and it’s only thanks to all the courage and help I’ve gotten through the Library that I’m managing to accomplish this.

So with a lot of those plans, what does that mean for the Library of Ohara? Well, on one hand, of course, Chapter Secrets will be continuing as strong as always, with deep analysis every week. On top of that, you can expect a bunch of other things like you’ve been seeing for the past few months, from parodies, to in-depth looks at certain subjects to all sorts of stuff. I’m also working on the True History, which albeit delayed (hooray me, I suck horribly with deadlines, so I apologize about that), I’m still working on to get it released eventually.

Additionally, I’ve also finally been tinkering around with YouTube, but I’m still in the testing phases on making videos and experimenting in their creation. However, I am planning in the near future to produce more content there and get more involved with the YouTube community (where I’ve already met a lot of incredible people!), so please wait just a little further!

And with all of that said, I just want to say, thank you. Seriously, thank you. This place has been an incredible opportunity for my life. Not only has it been a fun way to express my creative side and more deeply enjoy One Piece through the chance to give a deeper look at the series, but it’s also been a massive point of motivation to keep me going in life. It has helped me work hard, be disciplined and fight all the difficulties I’ve come across, to really go and pursue the future, one step at a time.

All of this is thanks to you. If it weren’t for all the people that come back every single week to check my content, for all the people that directly support me and help me quite literally get through life, for all the people that send heartfelt messages, I wouldn’t be where I am today, not just in the One Piece community, but as a person. I owe you a lot of where my life is going now and I’ll be forever grateful for that.

So with that, please look forward to much more to come to the Library of Ohara in the following months! Let’s leap together onwards to the future!
Future, here I come!
