The bit about the SMILE. Does Oda refer to the non-disapearing of animal parts strictly to those unfortunate cases he mentioned (like Holdem), or it’s saying that in general all the SMILES are stuck with the parts forever?
Doesn’t Chopper saying “If you use this, there won’t be anything that won’t heal” confirm that he achieves his dream and by a reasonable extension, everyone else?
Page One and Ulti are both older than I thought….
On another note, I can’t understand those “fans” asking rubbish questions or doing a pseudo-smart remark instead of asking something plot-related or remarking on certain scenes in the past. As an example, in one SBS, a fan mentionned that Yasopp and Vista glared at each other during the Marinford War, which was placed indeed intentionally by Oda, as he confirmed it.
But instead, some sexist commemts about Nami etc….is this really how the majority of OP fsns around the world think….?
Hahaha come on man, Namis a fictional character..noones being hurt by the jokes and you can’t get mad about perverted jokes about a drawing. it’s an ongoing gag for perverted jokes in the sbs for decades. Of course the cool details hinted at and fleshed out are a big draw, they can’t be all of them. They do a mix of both.
If it was a real woman, sure that wouldnt be okay, but it’s pencil marks on a page, youre taking it too seriously.
I’m sure there’s tons questions about literally everything in the series. But the SBS is supposed to be comedic. So Oda chooses a lot of comedic questions. And just sprinkles in some plot relevant ones here and there
I still just fucking love Oda updating the Spinosaurus based on new discoveries in paleontology, it’s awesome. although the anime left it out
It’s a fascinating field, having to piece together data across multiple discoveries in order to get the full picture, with fossils tens of millions of years old haha
Hell, anthropology is already tricky deciphering early hominids, neanderthal and cro magnon are only a few million years old, and the developing to homo sapiens is 5 minutes ago compared to dinosaurs
Been taking a crack at Koisuru One Piece, seems pretty funny honestly – Romantic Comedy, high on the comedy, with romance as more a premise for the comedy to occur. My Japanese isn’t that good though…
Basically, two kids: a timid boy named after Luffy, and a short girl named after Nami, are recruited into this One Piece club at their high school by a big kid named after Usopp and they tend to get into wacky hijinks due to Usopp being a massive One Piece fanatic and wants to have adventures based around One Piece.
Thus, Usopp is basically the biggest third wheel in Luffy and Nami’s developing relationship, especially Nami who has a crush on Luffy.
Also, for the SBS banner, that’s ‘Koisuru’ Usopp and Nami – Nami playing her role as the straight man to Usopp’s enthusiastic declaration. (Pretty sure Viz will cut this out though when Volume 97 releases in English…)
I have Volume 1 and I aim to get the other 6 sometime soon.
Alternate universe Chopper is rather crazy i wonder what went wrong there.
